Braiden's 18 Month Checkup :(

It was time again to take Braiden to the doctor, he had his 18 month check up and while we waited for the pediatrician to see him he was having a blast, he was exploring around, he was interested in books (for few seconds), toys and chairs. During the time that I filled out the paperwork with questions about his development he was just enjoying being there and having daddy by his side. It took the peditrician a while to come and see us so in the meantime Braiden took advantange to wonder around, he opened the door and was running around the hallway so I was chasing him. It was a fun trip until his shots came, I was so glad Julio was able to go with me because I cannot do it by my self, I cannot even hold him or look at him while the nurse is giving him his shots. I was crying along with him but I made sure I got lots of pictures even though Julio questioned the pictures, I told him that I needed them for my blog.. So here are the pictures of Braiden's visit to the doctor.
We are so blessed to have such a healthy, busy and active boy..

Few minutes later Braiden was back to normal
and he got plenty of hugs and kisses
because he had just gotten shots..

The fun was over due to:
DTAP vaccine: protects agains diphtheria, tetanus,
whooping cough
HAV vaccine: protects against hepatitis A
PCV13 vaccine: protects against pneumonia

Braiden really wanted to get on the doctor's chair,
he kept on pointing at it

Peekaboo
Braiden now loves to play with doors since he is able to
open and close them (fun fun for us)

On the run, see ya..

This was the first time that Braiden's was put on the scale to get his weight. The nurse was wondering if he would stay still on the scale to get his weight. Braiden really loves the scale since last time that we went to Petsmart and got on it.. While he was running around on the hallway he kept on going back to the scale, he was getting on and off of it so many times.
Braiden is 30lb 2oz (13.665kg) - 92%

Braiden's head is 49.5 cm - 90%

Say cheese Braiden!!

How fun, look what I found...

Braiden's temperature was
98.5 degrees (tympanic)

Braiden is 2' 8.25" (0.819m) - 48%
I'm an strong boy, I can push this little chair!!

Daddy was trying to read this book to Braiden,
it was very cute, it talked about dogs & cats but,
Braiden wanted to see it by him self.
Good job Braiden!!

I was trying to get Braiden interested in this toy but,
he kept pointing to the other side

Our climbling toddler

Well, I guess it is time for us to realize that we do have toddler at home, Braiden is now 18 months old and he is discovering way more things and mastering new skills. While there is a lot of information stating that it is important for toddlers to master balancing and climbing skills it is difficult to keep track of them and to do your best from keeping them safe. Today we were distracted for a few seconds and when we noticed that Braiden was not near us and he was too quite, we started looking for him, surprise we found him on top of the dishwasher. He is a complete little monkey, he LOVES to climb into everything. I honestly believe he is getting ready for the terrible two's.

A mess by an 18 month old

This morning we got back home around 2:00AM and I had to be at work by 9:00, yes it is a Holiday but, I still had to work, it is company company that we "volunteer" to work 2 holidays per year so, my holidays for this year are Labor Day & the day after Thanksgiving. I was too tired to go to work but I still made it. It was an easy day, not a lot of calls, however, I was under the impression that the way was going to drag but it didn't. Next thing I knew it was noon, lunch time and it was a very special one since I got to have lunch with my boys (Julio, Braiden & Curly) brought me lunch and we ate together in the car, I was sad to leave them when my lunch was over but, I knew I only had few hours left.
Before we were ready for dinner, Julio was trying to convince Curly to eat since he had not eaten much in the past few days because he was home sick while we were in Nebraska, Julio gave Curly something different than what he normally eat, Curly just smelled it and had a bite then next we noticed Braiden was more interested int he food than Curly so, Julio put it away and place it on the countertop then he went downstairs go get something, I was getting the table ready for dinner, few seconds later, surprise, Braiden pulled the plate and spilled the food on the floor, so I immediately called Julio to come see the mess that Braiden made, I was too busy calling Julio that I forgot to take a picture of the evidence, Braiden holding the empty plate, his onesie dirty and his amazed look. Then I took these few pictures...
Trying to hide behind the cooler,
can you see me Mommy??

Playing like normal...

Wow, look at that mess!!
Yes Braiden, I see what you did

Sorry Curly, you weren't eating it anyways...

Braiden's first Packers game - Packers vs Chiefs

The original plan for this game was for us the Packers fans to go and we were going to leave Braiden with grandma and auntie, however, after everybody heard of the plans, they decided to join us and go to the game so, we ended up buying 12 tickets. The day before the game, right after work we drove to Lincoln, NE, we got there about 1:00am and of course, we didn't go to bed until about 3:00am, we were talking and having a good time. On Thursday, the day of the game, we were planning on leaving NE around noon but, we ended up leaving much later, around 2:30pm. When we were finally ready to leave, it was 12 of us wearing Packers gear (not all of them are fans but, they decided to support the Packers for that particular game). Our drive to Kansas City, MO took longer than expected (there was traffic and rain) but we made it safe and sound. Once at the stadium the rain stopped and we were able to enjoy the great experience of watching a game as a big family. Braiden did an awesome job during the trip and the game, the only thing that would have made this game more than perfect was it the Green Bay Packers would have win but, it was only pre-season game so, no worries..

All of us except the Chiefs fan (mother in-law)

What's that face for Braiden???

The two Packers families
