Daddy's little helper

Julio told me that after work he wanted to wash his truck, so in an attempt to motivate Braiden to leave tía Claudia's home I told him he would be helping his daddy to wash the truck and he really liked the idea (he loves to be outside and playing with water makes it a lot better), he came prepare with an Scotch Brite to get to work and get daddy's truck spotless.

This is how the adventure worked out!

Denver 1st Ward

Today we visited the Denver 1st Ward (Spanish Ward), my mother in-law said she wanted to go to an Spanish ward so we decided to go there as my sister's in-law mother in-law goes there. She was so excited to see us and it was something different to see my mother in-law as a member, it has been over four months that she was baptized but it is still different and surprising to Julio that she is a member now. When we left I had to take some pictures of course and Julio was making fun of me but I knew I had to preserve the memories of this special day!!

Mile High Marketplace

During my mother's in-law visit, we went to the Mile High Marketplace, it was such a beautiful day to be walking around, enjoy the sun and a delicious corn on the cob. We all had a good time but specially Braiden since that was his first time eating a corn on the cob and he wanted to get on the rides as soon as he saw them so, cousin Jessi got on them with him.

It was a good Saturday activity!!

Day Out with Thomas

Braiden really likes Thomas & Friends so when I saw a newspaper at work showing that there was going to be an special event for Thomas & Friends at the Colorado Railroad Museum during three weekends in September, I knew we needed to take him as he would love it. I planned to go with one of my friends from work and we decided that the best day to go would be the second Saturday (09/17). I had checked on the website that the event would be sold out but somehow I couldn't believe it, sure enough when we look online Friday night, the only time for the Thomas ride was 4pm so, we figure that if we got to the museum by 1pm we would have plenty of time to do all the other activities and wrap up the day with the amazing ride. Well, we had a slight change of plans, we ended up getting to the museum by 2pm and they told us the only tickets available for the ride were at 4:30pm (wow, I was impressed to see they were right, it was a very popular event that really gets sold out).

It was the perfect family outing, we drove to Golden and when we got near the museum, they had a sign in a parking lot telling us to park there and ride a bus in order to get to the museum. Braiden was so excited to ride a bus for the first time, he was really happy and excited. When we got the the museum we purchased the tickets and after that we walked our ways around the park, my friend and her family got there a little bit after we did. It was a very well planned event, they had maps of all the activities they had which included Sir Topham Hatt, Thomas Story Telling & Video, The Imagination Station, A Petting Zoo, A tattoo tent, A Magic Show and much more stuff.

Braiden was so happy and excited to be there with Thomas, it was so amazing to see his face, not sure what went through his head when we told him we were going to see Thomas (he probably thought we were going to take the Light Rail again). The two and a half hours that we had to complete all the activities before our ride went by fast, next thing we knew it was time to take the so expected ride with Thomas.

The weather wasn't the best and it rained a little bit towards the end but Braiden and us really enjoyed the activity, we were so glad we took him, it will be an unforgettable experience for all of us.

We could easily go back to see Thomas & Friends next year!!

Braiden got his Jr Engineer Certificate when we were
taking the ride along Thomas!

This was the prize that he got for completing
the 4 stations on the month

This was the map that we were given indicating the stations
that we had to visit to get the prize!

My friend bought this cool Thomas balloon for Braiden,
he didn't see it until we got home because he was out like a light during the ride,
he wouldn't let it go when he discovered it, thanks Rebeca!!

This is how Braiden ended the
fun day out with Thomas....

her other son and nephew were next to them but somehow I couldn't get them on the picture)

Braiden got rained on when he was waiting for his turn to
take a picture with Thomas (he was probably cold that's why he
didn't smile or he probably couldn't believe Thomas was there)

Air Force vs TCU

We were invited to attend the Air Force game today, Julio was at work so my mother in-law, Braiden and I went with my sister in-law and niece to watch the game. We got a little after the game had started so we miss the initial show. We were there until the beginning of the 3rd quarter, we wanted to leave early so we could have plenty of time to walk to the car and bit traffic.

Everything was perfect, great weather, Braiden was such a good sport, he entertained him self with his toys and the new friend he made. He was awesome during the game and excited to stop by and see the huge avión on the way out of the academy.

After we were done with the avión and I put him on his car seat, he was immediately asleep. He slept the whole way, we got home and he was still asleep and took a nap at home for about 1.5 hours.

Thank you Braiden for being a good boy!!

Beyond exhausted

After dinner we noticed that everything was so quite so, we started looking for Braiden, we assumed he was he probably in his room playing with his toys but since he wouldn't reply to us calling him we went to look for him and he was not in his room so, we then went downstairs and this is what we found, he had fallen to sleep on the stairs, I'm so glad he didn't fall back hurting him self.

Totally cute!!

30 months old!!

While my mother in-law was visiting us, she was watching Braiden to have the opportunity to spend time with him but, after a while he started to miss his routine of going to Tía Claudia's he started to ask when he was going back to her so, during the week we went to see her and it happened to be the day that Braiden turned 30 months, when we got to Claudia's he was really excited to see them, and to his surprise they had a little something for him an activity box with coloring books, crayons and play-doh

What a perfect 30 months present!!

Thanks tía Claudia & familia, I love you guys :)
