La Casita de Christmas

Our FHE activity was to build our 1st Gingerbread house, Braiden was really excited and he wanted to participate. Julio's duty was to put it together then Braiden and me were in charge of decorating the house. We asked Braiden to choose the design from the two lay outs that were on the box, he wasn't undecided as of which one he wanted to make.

It was really fun to see how Braiden was distributing the candy, some for the house and some for Braiden.

The Gingerbread house was such a fun project to work on, he have decided to make it a tradition and make one every year.

Once we were done, Braiden was so proud of what we had made!!

Christmas Concert

Our niece Andrea invited us to attend her Christmas concert, she was playing in a High School in Littleton so, we left right after work and we were stuck on traffic but, we were able to make it on time to her play. Braiden fall asleep on the car and we got to the auditorium with him asleep but shortly after we were there he woke up and he was very attentive at the beautiful songs they played and he was excited to see his cousin. Even though he had just woken up he did very well and behave like a big boy.

Great job Andrea, we will be looking forward to join you for the next concert!!

Happy birthday Elle!!

Elle turned 8 and we were able to attend her surprise birthday party. It was nice to see her being surprised by everybody that was there. Braiden enjoyed playing with Spencer and we both had a good time.

It it so amazing to see how time flies, I remember when little Elle was in my Primary class, we had such an special connection since day one.

Happy Halloween

Today was Andrea's 13th birthday so after work, we went to my sister in-law's house, we had dinner, then went trick or treating and came back so Andre could cut her cake.

It was a really fun night as this is the first year where Braiden actually enjoyed the trick or treat experience.

These are some of the things that Braiden did and said:

* He got scared with Alan's costume, he kept telling me it was scary as he couldn't see Alan's face, once Alan showed Braiden it was him he was okay.

* When we got to the area where we were going to be knocking on doors, he was afraid of some of the decorations, he kept on asking me "Mommy no scary" and as soon I as told him no, he was okay

* He would take his time looking at the decorations

* He wanted to pet every dog in every house, he kept saying wow wow big

* He was really slow walking and wouldn't collect much candy

* Daddy started to run with him and pretty soon his pumpkin was getting really full and went we told him to let us put his candy away as his pumpkin was going to the say he kept saying, no is mine

* He learned how to say trick or treat

* He got really scare at one of the houses that had a candy bowl with the hand inside, he asked for a second candy from the bowl that didn't have the hand inside

* At some houses he would ask if he could have two candies

After we had cake and we went home, he was really tired and fall asleep in the car.

It was such a fun Halloween, I'm sure Braiden will be ready and excited next year!!

Trick or treat!!

Halloween at work

I wasn't planning to dress up for work but, it was an incentive not to have to dress up for work on a Monday and being so that Julio didn't want to use his costume, I decided to use it and be ready to go trick or treat matching Braiden's costume.

It was a fun day at work, we got candy and we participated in a costume contest, they took pictures of everybody that dressed up and just had a good time.

Yesterday was Alan's birthday but tío Ricardo got here late so, he decided to celebrate Alan today. It was just a little family get together, we had lunch then presents and cake and Braiden had a blast playing with his cousins Alan & Jake.

Big boy pj's

Tío Ricardo & tía Karina were in town visiting and they brought a little something for Braiden - his Thomas and friends pj's, he loved them and wanted to wear them that same night that he got them.

They also gave the family a mini Packers player that I took to work to add to my Green Bay Packers wall..

Thanks for the presents tíos and more than anything for coming to visit us, we had a blast and hope to have you guys back very soon.

Fall Leaves

We decided to have a family activity and help daddy pick up all the leaves that he had gotten together. Braiden loved to help and was excited to be part of the process, he kept going and going and didn't want to stop.
