IKEA

After almost a month of its grand opening, we finally made it to IKEA. We decided that going to IKEA would be a good family outing so, we went after work and we had dinner there, then we took the tour of the store, we walk around the store for about two hours. It was the perfect time to go, no issues finding a parking lot, no excessive amount of people on the aisles, it was just the right moment for the experience. It was definitively an adventure for Braiden, he wanted to check out everything he saw, and mommy wanted to take lots of pictures for the blog. We were planning on having him walk the whole time but, he was getting tired, he kept on telling daddy to hold him, at some point daddy had to tell him he was too heavy to be held...

Our next trip to IKEA will be focused on the lower level as we didn't have time or energy to check it out since we had walk for about two hours on the upper level.

Yay for IKEA!!

Dinner at the Mitchell's

Now that Julio is gone, Carol invited us over for dinner two days in a row. She had signed up to have the missionaries over for dinner so we had hot dogs and hamburgers on their new grill.

We had a great time and dinner was delicious. I was there for about half an hour then went home as my visiting teachers were coming to see me and Braiden stayed there, when I went back to pick him up I had dessert.

Thanks for dinner Mitchell family.

Daffy - Part # 2

This is an update on Daffy. I went to pick up Braiden and we went to look at the pájaro, he is doing amazing, Alexandra and the family (including Braiden) have done such a great job of taking care of Daffy, in a week he is much bigger and he has wings now so, Braiden has decided that pájaro is cute and hermoso now.

Chango

We bought Braiden his very cute "baby leash" which we have not used very much, we always forget it and also people look at us weird when they see we are pulling our son with a "leash", they might think is cruel but, I rather have my son safe than missing.

Lately Braiden has started to cuddle with his stuff animals and this chango is one of his favorites, he hugs him and kisses him.

At other points, the will put on the leash him self and runs around the house with it..

Chocolate cookies

Braiden definitively has started to love candy and sweet things so, when Carol stopped by to drop off some chocolate cookies he was totally excited, he saw her at the door with a plate of cookies and he came really quick. He said thank you Carol, gave her a hug and a kiss and took off with one on his hand.

Thanks for sharing Carol!!

So this is what happened next...

Para chuparse los dedos (to lick your fingers)

Green & Yellow

We made a quick trip to King Soopers and Braiden wanted to ride in this shopping cart instead, he loved it since the minute he saw it, not sure what it was maybe the great combination of colors (Green Bay Packers) but we had no problem with him recognizing what his favorite colors should be, we have to train him early, lol.

What a cool shopping cart Braiden!

Daffy - Part # 1

On Sunday when we were still in Nebraska, Alexandra found a little bird that had fallen from the nest, she took it home because she wanted to try her best to help him survive so, she has been completely committed to make this happen and Braiden has participated as well. He is all excited about the "pájaro" so, when I went to pick him up this is what he show me.

Since Daffy was so little and had no wings Braiden, he looked very interesting and even though Braiden kind of felt bad, he said Daffy was feo...

It was so sweet to see how Braiden is loving helping Alexandra take care of Daffy.

Stay tune for more Daffy updates in the days to come.

Daffy ate a little too much...

All done with his bottle

Braiden wanted to try feeding the pájaro!!

Cold & Tired

I had just changed my comforter and I was ready to put this one away when Braiden said he was cold and tired and was finding a way to get comfortable.

Of course, he just wanted to play, he didn't stay there for too long, he didn't go to sleep then...

It is fun to see how he is becoming very creative and able to entertain him self with anything..

Much better, not cold anymore!

Should I turn it this way???

Castles

Our niece Jessi came over and Braiden loved playing with her, she is a fun and sweet girl. They went outside and enjoyed making castles together. Braiden was excited to help her with every step of the process.

I'm glad they were able to spend an evening together to play and enjoy each other.
