Music & The Spoken Word

For a little over two years, we have been watching and listening to Music & The Spoken Word and felt that it would be really cool to attend a broadcast so, while in Utah we decided that the best way to end our trip was to go to the broadcast, it was an amazing experience to see it live. We felt the spirit really strong and had a wonderful time.
The music was as follows:
* Let There Be Light!
* God So Loved The World
* I Am Jesus' Little Lamb
* Meditation
* I Sing The Mighty Power of God
* Sail, Ship of Democracy
And of course the Spoken Word given by Lloyd D. Newell "To Know Our Heritage" - it was so powerful to hear his lovely voice being in the Conference Center.
End of trip, getting to the car to go to the airport

Temples in Utah

When we were in Utah, we wanted to do a Temple Marathon, go to as many temples as possible and do an endowment session, however, the day that we got there we found out the Bountiful temple was closed for cleaning. We were blessed and fortunate to attend an endowment session at the Salt Lake City Temple (I believe if you're in UT you must go there even if you don't go to any other temple, it was such an experience and would love to go back). We decided that we would go to the temples on Saturday but to our surprise, they were closed on Saturday due to Pioneer Day so, we decided that we would still go to some of them and take pictures outside, first we went to Provo so of course we had to stop at the Provo Temple then we decided to go see the two ones that they have built after we were in Utah in 2008 (my first time going to Utah for General Conference a month after my baptism) - Draper and Oquirrh Mountain after going to those two we need to go to Bountiful since it is our favorite temple, as you can see below, when we got to Bountiful it was getting dark outside and the sign was already on (not very good pictures) but we were glad to take the pictures as our camera battery died right when we finish taking those few pictures. Once in Bountiful, we waited to see the fireworks (we saw a lot of people parked on the side of road and with their chairs waiting for when it was late). The fireworks weren't great but at least we got to enjoy such a beautiful and peaceful view.

Needless to say, we will have to plan another trip to Utah so we can attend those beautiful temples.

Brady & Jane's wedding!!

We had the honor and privilege to attend Brady & Jane's wedding, it was such a beautiful ceremony and reception. When we were at the temple it made me think of our own sealing, when we were so happy and excited to have the blessing to be sealed for time and eternity and to see all the people that love us, it was great to have the two special missionaries that taught me the lessons, baptized me and confirmed me a member of the church that we wouldn't miss Brady's wedding for anything. He was so excited to have us there, Jane was happy to meet us, she said she had hear so much about our family, in summary, the Heaps were really pleased that we attended this special day in their lives, the thing that disappointed them is that we didn't take Braiden with us, they wanted to see little Braiden, we promised them we would make another trip - we will bring Braiden and we will get to do a temple marathon, attend as many as possible (of course, our favorite Bountiful).

Churro time

The day before we left for Salt Lake City we went to Sam's Club, and every time we go there Julio has to eat a polish or a churro so, today was not the exception to the rule. He shared with Braiden and Braiden just loved churros. I'm so happy that so far Braiden will eat anything you give him (fruits, vegetables, sweets, sour, and of course hot & spicy stuff), hopefully he continues to do so in the future.

Good choice daddy..

Yummy!!

Wow, that was a big churro

Don't eat the wrapper baby..

Almost bigger than Braiden, lol :)
