Christmas Carriage Parade

Going to the Christmas Carriage Parade was another activity that I wanted to do this holiday season, I had been waiting for today for a few days. However, when the day came, the plans changed, I wanted this to be a family adventure but, I ended up going with Carol, her friend and the kids. Braiden was asleep when I left the house, I had ask Julio if he was going to join me and he said "maybe", his tone of voice told me that he wasn't very excited. It was definitively really cold, we got to the parade with so much time in advance that Carol and I had a chance to go back to the house to get some blankets to help stay stay warm, it was definitively really cold. At the end, I think it worked out better that Julio & Braiden did not show up.

Here comes Santa, here comes Santa..

Parade of Lights 2010

We headed to Downtown to attend the Parade of Lights with The Mitchell's, it was their first time there. We were able to make it to Downtown on time, we found a cheap parking lot very close to a perfect location to watch the parade. The weather was great and the kids were really concentrated watching the parade, we all really enjoyed it. After the parade we went back to the parking lot and to our surprise we were there for about 1.5hrs, first we waited for the elevators to clear up, then since we were on the 7th floor, the cars were not moving because there was only one exit open. We still had a great time in the parking lot, the kids had the music loud and they were dancing and we were talking. We had a great time and we will do it again next year.

By the way, we went back on Saturday with the family and it was freezing so we didn't enjoy it as much, Braiden was crying and crying, we didn't know what was wrong with him but in fact, he was really cold, he came down when we took him to the car.

Happy kids after the parade
